UWS stars shine around the world: Dowell, Caro, Krauel and more.

  • Many riders who have participated in UWS events achieved great results worldwide last weekend.

UWS has always been the place where urban stars have been forged and many riders and skaters that participated or even won many of our events had great results last weekend.

One of them is Justin Dowell, who was invited to his first X Games event just two weeks ago… and managed to wil a gold medal in the BMX Park event at the 2025 summer X Games Salt Lake City and a silver medal in silver in SONIC Dave Mirra BMX Park Best Trick.

The women competition also had its “UWS moment”, as QueenSaray Villegas won silver in SONIC Women’s BMX Park at #XGamesSLC 2025.

Prague’s Mystic Sk8 Cup was a huge success and two skaters that have been around UWS events managed to win gold medals. Peruvian skater Angelo Caro shined in Europe by winning one of the longest-running and most renowned competitions on the continent.

It was also a great weekend for Spanish talent. Valentina Krauel continues to dazzle in the women’s street category and after winning the Jackalope Fest in Virginia Beach (USA) in early June, Krauel reclaimed her title in Prague, demonstrating consistency and technique against competitors from around the world.

She was joined on the podium by another Spaniard: Ivet Terol, who took second place.

The MASH event in Munich was also dominated by Spanish skaters, with victories by Danny León and Naia Laso in the park category.

León defended his title with ease, dominating the men’s final with powerful and creative runs. Youngster Naia Laso dazzled the crowd with an impeccable performance that earned her first place in the women’s final and the “Best Trick” award.
