End of an era: Ville de Gap skatepark has been demolished and will be replaced with a new one.
The Ville de Gap‘s (France) current skatepark, located near the Alp’Arena, is slated for demolition to make way for a modern facility. Recognizing that the existing structure has aged and no longer meets users’ needs, the municipality plans to construct a new skatepark on the same site. This updated venue aims to be more secure and contemporary, catering to various disciplines, including a dedicated area for street skaters. The project has experienced delays, but construction is now scheduled to soon in 2025, with completion anticipated within a year. Additionally, the city has announced plans for a pumptrack, further enhancing Gap’s offerings for action sports enthusiasts.
