UWS news of the week: Madrid Street Jam, a skatepark in Ethiopia, Angelo Caro, Vert Battle and another wedding are our weekly protagonists!
The Konso Skatepark was completed in 2023, bringing new energy and opportunity to the local community in southern Ethiopia! Now, the skaters in Konso are in need of skate gear and supplies.
If you or someone you know is traveling from Europe to Ethiopia, they would love your help to carry donated skate equipment. The items can be received easily in Addis Ababa.
They are also welcoming volunteers who want to visit Konso and support the local skate community on the ground.
Gui Khury won the third stop of Vert Battle in Curitiba with a run of 95.13 points, surpassing Luigi Cini (ITA) and Egoitz Bijueska (ESP) in the final.
Among the women, Mizuho Hasegawa claimed the title with 92.23 points, while Helena Laurino (BRA) and Juno Matsuoka (JPN) rounded out the podium.
The fourth and last stop will be in Fortaleza, next 13 and 14 of December.
After many years of collaborating on trips, projects, and shared experiences, JART is parting ways with a valued team member: Angelo Caro
The decision was made mutually, with respect and appreciation for the contributions made, the energy made and the impact the skater left on JART.
Exciting news! Charlotte Worthington is getting married to her boyfriend, Matthew Dalton! Wishing them all the happiness in this new chapter together.
Last but not least.
