The skateboarding world is mourning the loss of one of its most beloved and respected figures. Kevin Wilkins, journalist, editor, and cultural icon within skateboarding, passed away on November 4, 2025, after several years battling cancer. He was 58 years old.

Wilkins was much more than an editor—he was a defining voice in shaping the modern identity of skateboarding. Over a career that spanned more than three decades, he worked with some of the most influential publications in the scene, including TransWorld Skateboarding, The Skateboard Mag, Warp Magazine, and Club Homeboy.

Despite his illness, Wilkins remained active until the very end, mentoring new generations of skaters, photographers, and writers. Friends and colleagues describe him as a generous mentor, a passionate storyteller, and an irreplaceable presence in the history of contemporary skateboarding.

An old building in South London has been transformed by Nike and Palace into a vibrant public space for creativity and self-expression. Originally built in 1895, the historic site has been reimagined into three distinct areas, each designed to celebrate local culture and community.

The Vigo City Council, home of ‘O Marisquiño’, has announced the start of the drafting process for the Navia Indoor Park project a covered facility dedicated to urban sports such as skateboarding, BMX, scootering, and rollerblading.

According to Abel Caballero, this space, which will be located in the Teixugueiras and Ufas area, will feature two distinct sections: a street zone with obstacles simulating an urban environment, and a ramp zone with slopes reaching up to 4 meters in height. In addition, an adjacent building will include changing rooms, restrooms, offices, a storage area, and a cafeteria.

This Indoor Park aims to meet the demand of thousands of young urban sports enthusiasts by providing a safe, accessible, and high-quality environment that promotes inclusion and urban sustainability.
