Ryan Williams wins the first stop of the BMX Triple Challenge.
Defying a heavy practice crash that left him visibly battered, Ryan Williams secured a dominant double victory at the 2026 BMX Triple Challenge season opener in Glendale, Arizona. The 31-year-old Australian superstar and defending series champion showcased his trademark resilience at State Farm Stadium, clinching the BMX Dirt title with a high-stakes run featuring a frontflip inward Bri flip and an inverted 720 over the course’s unique “drift” hip jump. Not content with just one trophy, Williams returned for the Best Trick event to seal another first-place finish with a world-class backflip kickless tailwhip-to-tailwhip back on his first attempt. By edging out runner-up Kaden Stone, the eleven-time X Games gold medalist has firmly established himself as the man to beat as the three-stop series heads toward its next round in Salt Lake City.
El Hangar Indoor Skatepark is coming soon to Madrid!
Madrid’s scene is about to level up with the highly anticipated arrival of El Hangar Indoor Skatepark, a massive new destination designed to keep wheels turning regardless of the weather. This state-of-the-art facility promises a premium indoor environment featuring high-quality ramps, street elements, and flow zones tailored for skaters of all skill levels. By bridging the gap between urban street culture and a professional training ground, El Hangar is set to become a vibrant community hub for skateboarders, rollers, and BMX riders alike. Keep an eye out for its grand opening, as it aims to redefine the local action sports landscape with its sleek design and year-round accessibility.
The LA Courthouse spot has been saved again!
The legendary West LA Courthouse has once again been granted a reprieve, solidifying its status as one of the few “sanctioned” street spots where the culture of skateboarding is actually embraced rather than erased. This latest victory for the community ensures that the iconic stage, the smooth granite ledges, and the famous gap—immortalized in decades of skate cinema—remain open to the public without the threat of security or “skate-stopping” hardware. It’s a massive win that highlights the power of local advocacy and the Nike SB-backed restoration efforts, proving that when skaters and city officials collaborate, urban spaces can be preserved as living landmarks rather than just sterile transit zones
