The Parc Central skatepark in Igualada gathered the planet’s best riders for a historic day of adrenaline, spectacular tricks, and urban culture.
The now-emblematic bowl at the Parc Central skatepark in Igualada (Barcelona) was the setting for one of the most intense, spectacular, and highly attended dates on the national action sports calendar: the Urban World Series Bikeparadise Comp 2026. Held this Saturday, May 30, the event gathered over 60 athletes from more than 10 nationalities in an unparalleled atmosphere that definitively solidified the town on the global BMX map.
The competition, designed to showcase talent at all stages, offered a high-level spectacle across its three official categories (Pro, Expert, and Junior), where the skatepark’s excellent design became the perfect ally for attendees to enjoy tricks and executions of the highest technical difficulty.
A Legendary Podium in the Pro Category
Competitiveness was guaranteed until the very last second thanks to an attractive prize pool of over €2,000. In the premier category (Pro), the big winner of the day was Daniel Santiago, who took the absolute victory and the €1,000 cash prize after delivering a perfect run. Second place on the podium went to Javitxu de la Torre (€500), while Igualada local Pau Sala completed the top three in third place (€300), with equipment prizes and gifts extending down to tenth place.
Meanwhile, the up-and-coming talents in the Junior and Expert categories proved that the future of BMX is more than secure. The standout riders earned significant gear packages from collaborating brands, highlighted by the brilliant victories of Lluc Brunet in Expert and Izan de la Fuente in the Junior category.
Aerial Spectacle and an Unbeatable International Lineup
One of the most electrifying and cheered moments by the local crowd was the competition for the special “Roger Soler High Air” award. Athlete Daniel Santiago, who was also the Pro category champion, managed to soar above everyone else, reaching the highest jump of the day (3.9 m) and taking home the €200 cash prize.
The awards were presented by Patricia Illa, Third Deputy Mayor of the City Council of Igualada, and Jaume Sala, director of the Igualada Bikeparadise event.
