Urban World Series adds a new stop to its 2025 tour — we’re joining forces with BikeParadise to present the UWS Igualada BikeParadise Comp 2025!
The adrenaline-fueled Igualada Bikeparadise Comp. is back for its 2025 edition, promising a thrilling day of BMX bowl action at the newly built Park Central in Igualada. Riders from across the country will gather to compete in three categories: Junior, Expert, and Pro — showcasing the best of freestyle BMX talent.
A Legacy Born in the ‘90s
The origins of the Bikeparadise Comp. trace back to the mid-1990s, when a group of passionate BMX riders from Igualada came together to build one of Spain’s very first private bikeparks. At a time when skateparks were rare in both Catalonia and the rest of Spain, these pioneers transformed an empty lot between two warehouses into a wooden ramp haven — quickly becoming a hotspot for riders nationwide.
Out of this grassroots spirit, the Igualada Bikeparadise Comp. was born, initially as a series of informal jams and later evolving into a full-fledged competition.
A New Chapter Begins
Following a period focused on managing their indoor park, Bikeparadise returned to the spotlight in 2024 with the construction of a new, state-of-the-art skatepark in the city. The revived event made a powerful comeback — and now, the 2025 edition marks the second chapter of this exciting new era.
