The World Skate Scootering Pro Tour kicks off with its debut at Extreme Barcelona

The emblematic event Extreme Barcelona, recognized as a cornerstone in the world of scootering, commemorates its 15th anniversary by taking a significant step towards advancing this distinguished sport. On this occasion, the event partners with World Skate, marking the inauguration of the first stage of the innovative “World Skate Pro Tour” circuit.

This circuit lays the foundation for establishing a global ranking system with the aim of an Olympic qualification system.

The iconic facilities of Parc del Fòrum, specifically Central Park and Street Plaza, are prepared to host the competitions in the three main categories: Men’s, Women’s, and Junior. A total of six competitions will bring together over 150 athletes, who will strive to deliver an exceptional show and captivate the audience gathered in the main arenas of Extreme Barcelona.

In the men’s Park category, athletes like Jordan Clark, Esteban Clot, and Jayden Sharman are notable contenders. Jordan’s impressive record includes six medals in the Barcelona event, five of them gold. Claire Parks, the reigning world champion, faces tough competition from talents like Lucy Evans and Mia Catalano in the Central Park division. Catalano, a Women’s Street standout, competes in both categories to showcase her versatility. And In men’s Street, Lucas Di Meglio holds the spotlight as the reigning world champion, with Guifré Obradors as the local contender. Other strong contenders for the podium include Kai Saunders from Australia, Jonathan Perroni from France, and Matis Neyroud from Switzerland.

From September 15th to 17th, the best of scootering will unfold at the Extreme Barcelona event. For the second consecutive year, this significant event will be free for all spectators, and in its fifteenth edition, it will commemorate its anniversary with a wide range of competitions and activities, marking a milestone in its history.
