Extreme Barcelona: Urban World series flagship event celebrates its 15th anniversary

  • From 15 to 17 September the Parc del Fòrum will host the biggest urban sports event with a special 15th anniversary edition

Barcelona’s biggest urban sports event is getting ready to bring more sport and more show than ever with national and international athletes who will be looking for their pass to the Paris Olympics. It will put on an event in style to celebrate its 15th anniversary, with all the urban sports that will be present at the Olympics in a unique setting that will host international BMX, Scootering and Skateboarding events, the Spanish Breaking Championship, Climbing and Basket 3×3.

No wonder, as this is the flagship competition of the Urban World Series. During these 15 years, it has become consolidated and rooted in the city of Barcelona, becoming what is now the third longest running urban sports event in the world.

The Urban World Series Extreme Barcelona will take place on the 15th, 16th and 17th of September in its usual location, the emblematic Parc del Fòrum, a unique event that will celebrate its anniversary in a very special way. It will offer more activities than ever to become the perfect weekend to enjoy with the whole family.

The Parc del Fòrum will be prepared so that during these three intense days urban sports will be at another level, and that both fans and connoisseurs of this sport as well as friends, families with children, young people and adults, can get carried away by a full program that will not stop throughout the weekend. 

Urban World Series knows what it does, that’s why this year’s edition of the Extreme will have the public as the main protagonist with more activities than ever and a cultural offer adapted to all audiences, from the most experienced in urban sports to those who want to take their first steps on their skate, bmx or scooter.

You can’t miss the market area, food trucks, music, culture, workshops and outdoor sports. In addition, there will be high-level competitions in all disciplines, and the Parc del Fòrum’s colonnaded esplanade will become a small urban sports theme park with three open parks, a skateboarding area, pump tracks and mini-ramps to make you feel like a real professional extreme sports athlete.
