The 15th anniversary of Extreme Barcelona will be the last stop of the Urban World Series
The famous urban extreme sports event of the Urban World Series returns to Barcelona for its 15th anniversary. The event will take place in the Parc del Fòrum from 15 to 17 September, and is expected to be attended by more than 500 athletes in disciplines such as Skateboarding, BMX, Scooter Street, Scooter Park, Breaking, Climbing and 3×3 Basketball.
In addition to being a high-level competition, the event aims to promote the practice of these Olympic sports and bring them to the public free of charge. There will also be music and cultural activities for those who want to enjoy a unique experience in the heart of the city. This year, the event will be even more important as it will serve as preparation for athletes who wish to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Extreme Barcleona will bring together leading urban artists and amateurs from a variety of sporting disciplines. For three days, Central Park, the Street Plaza and the Urban Stage will witness incredible demonstrations of Skateboarding, BMX, Scooter Street, Scooter Park, Breaking, Climbing and 3×3 Basketball. More than 500 athletes will participate in these high level competitions.
In addition, the event features EsportCat Extreme, a project backed by the General Secretariat for Sport and Physical Activity that seeks to discover new talent in Skateboarding, Scootering, BMX and Breaking, and offer them the opportunity to compete in the main event.
The Barcelona Urban Art and Music Festival focuses not only on sport, but also on culture and urban music. During the weekend, the Parc del Fòrum will become a space full of experiences, emotions and adrenaline for the attendees.
