In the mid-1990s, a group of biker friends from Igualada created one of the first private bike parks in the country, as there was nowhere to ride in the city, and at that time skateparks were scarce in both Catalonia and Spain.

Step by step, in an empty lot between two industrial buildings, they began building wooden ramps until they had a more-than-decent skatepark, which became a meeting point for bikers from all over the country. Jams and competitions began to be organized there, and the Igualada Bikeparadise Comp. was born.

After 10 years in this location, the Igualada City Council built a skatepark in the Les Comes sports area, and Bikeparadise became a sports association. The Igualada Bikeparadise Comp. was held in this new skatepark for 9 editions between 2006 and 2015, becoming a benchmark BMX freestyle competition at the national level.

In the following years, Bikeparadise focused on managing its indoor park until, in 2024, a large skatepark was built in the city. The event Igualada Bikeparadise Comp. was reborn stronger than ever, and this year marks the second edition of this new era.
