Urban World Series Videopart Festival Lights Up the Big Screen at Barcelona’s Phenomena Cinema
The world of action sports filmmaking reached new heights last Friday as the Urban World Series Videopart Festival – Scooter Edition took over the iconic Phenomena Cinema in Barcelona for a one-of-a-kind celebration of creativity, talent, and community.
Over 450 spectators gathered to experience 11 groundbreaking videoparts across four categories: Queens Section, Local Section, International Section, and Group Section. The event showcased the best in scooter cinematography, offering filmers and riders a rare opportunity to premiere their work on a 15-meter theater screen, in a venue typically reserved for major motion pictures.
The atmosphere was electric as fans and creators came together to celebrate a new era for short-form action sports content. One of the standout moments of the night was witnessing, in cinematic scale, Calum Connor’s jaw-dropping backflip down Lyon 25 – a trick many are already calling one of the greatest ever landed in the sport.
