Extreme Barcelona has officially unveiled the creative direction, promotional video, and full sports lineup for its highly anticipated 2026 edition. Celebrating its landmark 18th anniversary, the festival returns fully consolidated as one of Europe’s premier action sports and urban culture events. This year, the festival expects to host more than 500 world-class athletes hailing from over 40 nations, transforming the Catalan capital into the ultimate global stage for urban athletics.
The 2026 sports schedule highlights the event’s ongoing evolution, presenting a highly varied mix of world-class competitions, Olympic-level action, and emerging street disciplines. Across three action-packed days, spectators will witness nearly 30 individual contests spanning men’s, women’s, and mixed divisions, highlighting Extreme Barcelona’s strong push toward equality, diversity, and broader representation.
Anchoring the program are four major Olympic disciplines: BMX Freestyle, Skateboarding, Breaking, and 3×3 Basketball. These crowd favorites will share the spotlight with other high-octane showcases, including Scootering, Para BMX Street, Street Football, and Synkro Race, making this one of the most versatile and comprehensive athletic lineups in the festival’s history.
The sprawling esplanade of Parc del Fòrum will once again serve as the festival’s vibrant epicenter. Spanning more than 18,000 square meters, the venue will host intense international matchups alongside a rich lineup of fan experiences. Visitors can enjoy an expanded market area with a record-breaking number of exhibitors, a diverse food truck hub, creative workshops, and interactive zones where attendees can try their hand at several of the featured sports.

We didn’t just want to host a tournament; we committed to building permanent urban sports infrastructure and grassroots programs that have nurtured homegrown talents like Daniela Terol. Over these nearly two decades, we’ve introduced fresh sports so that families can explore and enjoy these incredible disciplines completely free of charge.»
