UWS News of the week
Our first UWS News of the week is Skate Like Lion, a charitable project financing and building the Konso Skatepark in South Ethiopia, Africa. They started in 2018 and now, in 2024, they’re ftrying to finalize the park. But they need help.

“Although the skatelikelion website is still working with monthly donations from the partners and we keep getting some money from other projects, we decided to use gofundme to everyone who wants to donate for this specific cause. here.”

All the money is just destined to buy materials to end the skatepark.

Any other type of help is welcome, you can contact them by their website or instagrams: @sk8likelion and @caribu304

UWS News of the week
Villaverde in Southern Madrid, has already a new skate park and Pump Track. Built by Copin Ramps and Becsa, and designed by Daniel Yábar.
The park has a concrete bowl of more than 1,000 square meters, a big pump track, a parkour track of some 600 square meters, Calisthenics and also a track for the practice of BMX flatland
Brazilian Tallys Jr. and Leonardo Beazotto – decided to reunite in Europe to chase their respective skateboarding dreams from either side of the lens. An independent project that – like so many of those released by the MKD gang – was hustled into existence with the help and support of a wide network of loving friends (who they’d like to thank) and is impossible to watch without dreaming of pushing around in the sun pretending you’re that smooth…

Can’t wait to see what this link-up produces in the years to come, supposedly they’re already sitting on a bunch of shit for the next one!

The guest line is his dad Tallys Marcos, who also contributed to filming some of the clips 🙂
