Welcome to Urban World Series news of the week January 26, 2024.

Shoking! In this weeks UWS News of the week: The French athlete Anthony Grant, announced via instagram post that he quits professional Scootering.

Anthony Grant got an amazing 3rd place in Urban World Series Madrid Urban Sports 2021, only behind Jamie Hull, and he also got the 10th place at the 2023 World Championships in UWS MUS too

Spanish skateboarder Natalia Muñoz, signs for “Adrenaine Crew” of Blue Banana, our official Urban World Series partner.

Natalia is one of the most promising Spanish athletes and we have seen her shine several times in our events: she won 2nd place in Extreme Barcelona 2022, also got 3rd in Omarisquinho 2023 and two wins in the 2023 Skate Spanish circuit!

Make some corn and get ready to watch The GX crew storms Bilbao and Vigo streets in Spain, tryng out all the spots they find in the road!

Barcelona has already its first skate park located in the courtyard of a public school, Elisenda de Montcada in the Ciutat Meridiana.

The initiative came from the educational center itself, which has assumed the cost of the installation, and the Associació Esportiva Nou Barris, with the aim of promoting urban sports among children and adolescents, not only from the center itself, but from the whole of the Zona Nord. The space, inaugurated on January 13, has the collaboration of the District of Nou Barris and Pla de Barris, which is in charge of the dynamization of the playground with monitors specialized in urban sports, especially skateboarding, from the Associació Esportiva Nou Barris.
