Urban World Series and CanRoll Successfully launch first Extreme Sports Festival in Sarawak — Eyes Set on 2026 growth
KUCHING, SARAWAK – The CanRoll – Pro Action Sports Festival made a powerful debut from 23–25 May 2025 at Waterfront Central in Kuching, marking a major milestone for extreme sports in Southeast Asia. As the first event of its kind in the region, CanRoll brought together local and international talent, delivering three days of high-energy action, culture, and community celebration.
In partnership with Urban World Series, the renowned Barcelona-based action sports platform, the festival featured Malaysia’s first mobile skatepark of this scale, combining street and park elements for all levels — from beginners to seasoned pros. Competitions, demos, and open sessions turned the Kuching waterfront into a buzzing hub of movement and youth culture.
But CanRoll went beyond the ramps and rails — the event offered a full festival experience with live music, entrepreneurship showcases, youth empowerment activities, kids’ games, and more. It was a vibrant space for connection, creativity, and inspiration — a true celebration of motion, passion, and community.
“We’ve laid the foundation,” said Nik Mohd Suhaily, founder of CanRoll. “This first edition showed what’s possible when local energy meets global vision. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved, and even more excited for what’s to come.”

Some of the event’s top athletes have now earned the opportunity to compete at the Urban World Series Extreme Barcelona, taking place from 5–7 September 2025 — showcasing Sarawak’s talent on one of the world’s biggest stages.
With strong momentum and positive community response, plans are already underway to grow CanRoll in 2026, expanding its reach and impact across the region. The movement has begun — and the future rolls with us.
