In the heart of the Parisian capital, with a sold-out crowd, the world’s best athletes have delivered an unprecedented competition.
In the men’s skateboarding street final at Paris 2024, Japan’s Yuto Horigome won gold, successfully defending his title from Tokyo 2020. Horigome, who had faced challenges in the qualifiers, delivered an incredible comeback in the final, securing victory with a stunning last trick. The silver medal went to the USA’s Jagger Eaton, who had led the competition until Horigome’s final move. Nyjah Huston, also from the USA, earned the bronze, improving on his seventh-place finish from the previous Olympics. The competition was intensely close, with all three medalists showcasing remarkable skill and precision.
In the Women’s Street Skateboarding final at the Paris 2024 Olympics, 14-year-old Coco Yoshizawa from Japan claimed the gold medal with an impressive performance. She secured her victory with a remarkable bigspin kickflip frontside boardslide, overcoming a strong challenge from her compatriot Liz Akama, who took silver. The bronze went to Brazil’s Rayssa Leal, who delivered a strong comeback in the final stages of the competition. This event highlighted the dominance of young talent, with all three medalists being teenagers.
In BMX Men Freestyle final, the Lionel Messi of BMX, Argentina’s José “Maligno” Torres, claimed the gold medal with a standout score of 94.82, delivering an exceptional performance in the final round. Britain’s Kieran Reilly took silver with a close score of 93.91, while France’s Anthony Jeanjean thrilled the home crowd by securing the bronze with 93.76 points. The competition was fierce, with all top three riders showcasing incredible tricks and consistency, making it one of the most exciting events of the Games.
In BMX Women final, Yawen Deng from China, bronze in Urban World Series MUS 2023, made history by winning gold with two exceptional runs, scoring 92.5 and 92.6 points. This victory marked China’s first medal in the event. Perris Benegas from the USA secured silver after a strong second run with a score of 90.7, while Australia’s Natalya Diehm earned bronze with 88.8 points, impressing the judges with the only front flip of the competition.
Back to skateboarding: In Skate Men Park, Keegan Palmer of Australia successfully defended his Olympic title, earning the gold medal with a score of 93.11. Tom Schaar from the United States took the silver with 92.23 points, while Brazil’s Augusto Akio claimed the bronze with 91.85. The event, held at La Concorde, showcased intense competition, with the top three athletes displaying exceptional skill and consistency in their runs.
In the women’s skateboarding park final, Australia’s 14-year-old Arisa Trew, the world’s first female skateboarder to land a 720 in competition, won gold with a stunning third-run score of 93.18. Trew, who had fallen during her first run, made a remarkable comeback, surpassing Japan’s Hiraki Cocona, who took silver with 92.63 points. Sky Brown of Great Britain secured the bronze with a score of 92.31. Trew’s performance included advanced tricks like the 540s, solidifying her as a rising star in skateboarding.
The men’s Breaking final at the Paris 2024 Olympics was a historic event, marking the debut of the sport at the Games. Phil Wizard from Canada clinched the gold medal, defeating France’s Dany Dann with a decisive 3-0 victory, earning 23 out of 27 possible votes. Victor Montalvo from the USA, champion in MUS 2023, secured the bronze medal. The competition was fierce, with top B-Boys from around the world showcasing their skills at La Concorde. Phil Wizard’s win completes a significant career trifecta, as he has now claimed world, continental, and Olympic titles.

She defeated Lithuania’s Dominika Banevič (B-Girl Nicka), 2023 European Champion in UWS Andalucía Urban, with a score of 3-0, showcasing her superior technique and creativity. The bronze medal was claimed by Liu Qingyi (B-Girl 671) from China. The final was intense, with Ami’s performance standing out for its precision and musicality, solidifying her place at the top of the sport.
